I am currently designing King Lear for Liam O Briens Arts Council grant for Killmallock Abbey. The Soul be the Sea fesival with the Passion Play for the Easter weekend on Brighton beach and A Dickens of a Life for the New Wimbeldon theatre opening in June. What a great start to the year.

It is also the first co-production of Wonderland Productions and Mermaid Arts Centre. Specially made for a family audience, six actor-musicians will use original song, puppetry, dance and video projection to bring the amazing voyages of Lemeul Gulliver to life. Music, fun and adventure awaits you as Gulliver meets the tiny people of Liliput, the great giants of Brobdingnag and the savage yahoos and talking horses of Houyhnhnm land. Puppet Portal

Emma starts back as Limericks puppeteer in residence as part of the Puppet Portals second residence which starts up next wednesday with 5 puppeteers across the country working for 10 weeks. The project aims to help counter the isolation that children can feel when they are hospitalized by connecting them to a wider community in a shared creative conversation. It aims to facilitate children in accessing their own creativity and using this resource to help them better cope with being in hospital. The project offers artists the chance to share ideas and to work as part of a team as well as developing their own practice in a fascinating and challenging setting.

Beyond the Bark & Daragh Bradshaw & Mags O Donaghue in association with The Belltable Arts Centre tells a charming and captivating tale.
Trevor sets out every day on his boat to travel to Turtle Island, where with the help of his friend Gertrude, a 100 year old Turtle, he turns the baby turtles when they fall on their backs. A new bale of baby Turtles are due to hatch on the island but a great storm is brewing.

Will Trevor get out to the island in time to help Gertrude save the new arrivals?
Who will help her?

Using marionette, rod, and shadow puppetry let us take you for an unforgettable and interactive adventure on Turtle Island. Come trip and flip with our two friends Trevor and Gertrude on their perilous & heroic journey to save and protect the baby Turtles from the raging storm.

This tale invites children to enter the world of Turtle Island and immerse themselves in the joy of truly imaginative puppet theatre. Children will also get the opportunity to meet the puppeteers.

Foreign Object is a piece incorporating Marionette, Shadow and no masks. The bottle people and a baby boy are trapped and cast out to to sea, to a foreign land where slavery awaits them. Sold at auction with art work as if they are objects they are passed around and mishandled. The baby grows into a little boy on the streets of England, he stumbles onto a slave auction and this brings back memory's he didn't know he had of his mother and country. He sees the boat he arrived in and climbs a board. Is he going home or has he just died that is up to you.
